Optimise your Chances of Conception

Test for ovulation and increase your chances of conception with the core test Ovulation Test strip designed to detect your LH (Luteinizing Hormone) surge – which is when you are at your most fertile and likely to ovulate. At a fraction of the cost of most chemist branded products and as accurate as the leading marketed brands, this simple test requires the dipping of the strip into urine and one of two results will appear.  Quite simply and very straightforward, one line indicates you are not ovulating whilst two lines indicate that you are – which suggests it is the optimal time in which to have intercourse and increase your chances of conception.

  • Ovulation test detects the presence of LH (Luteinizing Hormone) which is present in urine and increases dramatically during the middle of the menstrual cycle.
  • An increase in LH triggers ovulation which is when the egg is released periodically from normal fertile woman,
  • WHO experts state that LH testing is a reliable way in which to detect ovulation.
  • Each strip boasts 20mlu LH sensitivity.
  • At a fraction of the cost of leading market brands and as accurate.
  • Please note that ovulation will occur approximately 24-48 hours following a positive test.
  • Once immersed in urine one line indicates that you are not ovulating. Two lines indicate that you are

  • Both the test strip and urine need to be at room temperature for testing.
  • To begin remove the test strip from the foil packaging.
  • Dip the strip into urine with the arrow pointing down towards the urine.
  • Remove the strip after 3 seconds and let the strip flat on a clean, dry, non-absorbent surface.
  • Please note the test will be invalid if the urine goes above the Max line as indicated on strip.
  • Results must be read in five minutes, do not read after the five minutes as the results are invalid.

If two colour brands are visible and the test band is equal to or darker than the control band, you will probably ovulate in the next 24-48 hours. If trying to get pregnant the best time to have intercourse is after 24 hours but before 48 hours.

If only one colour appears on the control region, or the test band appears but is lighter than the than the control band. This means there is no LH Surge and therefore you are not ovulating.

No visible band at all or there is a visible band only in the test region and not in the control region. Repeat with new test kit.

When to perform test:

DO NOT use First Morning Urine as LH is synthesised in your body early in the morning. It won’t show up in your urine until later in the day. The optimal time to collect your urine is between 10am-8pm. Reduce liquid intake about 2 hours before collecting your urine as diluted urine samples can prevent the test from detecting LH surge
