Thanks to Steven Smith and his night out with a group of friends on a rainy Manchester night where he saw just how much the women were suffering at the end of the night. Two years later and a lot of hard work and research he revolutionised a new shoe! The Redfoot.
After months of research and talking to podiatrists it became clear to him and his team that wearing high heels was absolutely fine so long as you stopped wearing them as soon as you began to feel pain. Conversely, wearing them through pain was absolutely not fine at all and could cause long-term damage to the foot.
So they needed to develop a flat shoe that was compactable enough and light enough to be called upon when needed. It had to small enough to slip into the smallest of handbags but had to have a tough enough sole that could fully protect the foot in outside wear. That's a big technical problem for a shoe technologist. Make the sole thin so it can easily fold and women will feel every small stone and broken piece of glass on the pavement. Make the sole thicker to protect the foot and the shoes wont be able to fold.
So ladies....no more walking to the taxi in your bare feet, heels in the handbag! It's time to adorn your feet with these amazing creation, so comfy you can wear them day or night anyway. So compact you can pop them in the smallest of handbags for the after-party, the taxi home, the chipper queue........the street karaoke!
